There is no prize for converting a dense, fascinating district into a race between recommendations. Staying here gives you the advantage of not having to consume the whole area in one visit.
Plan the last few minutes of arrival
The official arrival guidance uses the Jama Masjid Police Station as a drop-off reference. Contact the hotel for the current meeting point and luggage arrangements before your driver departs. A map pin alone is not an adequate plan for the final approach through Old Delhi. Save the hotel's contact details, tell them when you expect to arrive and ask what to do if traffic changes the drop-off.
We would allow two nights if the schedule permits: enough to let the neighbourhood become more than an arrival adventure. Keep onward airport travel conservative and do not attach a tight departure to one final ambitious outing. Dharampura's strength is the opportunity to inhabit a place most visitors only pass through. If you want broad lawns, a conventional resort pool and effortless car access, choose another Delhi hotel. If you want a stay whose address actually changes what you notice, this is the far more interesting proposition.
The lane is not an inconvenience to edit out of the story. It is the reason to choose this hotel.
